The Stained Glass Making Process

  1. Discuss why the client would like to commission a stained glass window.
  2. With close collaboration with the customer, design the window according to their wishes until completely happy with it.
  3. Draw up the full size cut line of the window.
  4. Cut the glass.
  5. Paint and fire the glass if necessary.
  6. Lead up the window.
  7. Solder all the joints.
  8. Cement and waterproof the window.
  9. Clean and prepare the window for installation.
  10. Install the window into the opening in the appropriate way in line with all the conservation bodies.
